Cobblestone Jute Rug

Jute brings a magnificent, chunky texture to any space. These rugs are expertly handloom-woven by skilled weavers who employ a variety of traditional techniques to create these simply beautiful styles. Jute fibers exhibit naturally anti-static, insulating and moisture regulating properties. It is predominantly farmed by approximately four million small farmers in India and Bangladesh and supports hundreds of thousands of workers in jute manufacturing (from raw material to yarn and finished products).

  • Pile: 100% jute
  • Color: earthtones of gold and tan with a hint of silvery-gray
  • Height: .5"
  • Weight: 3350 g/sm

Product Care:

  • Vacuum regularly with the suction attachment. Do not use a beater brush, as it will snag and pull the individual jute fibers.
  • Spot clean with a damp cloth. You may use a solution of mild dish soap and water but test the solution in a small, inconspicuous area of the rug to be sure there is no discoloration.
  • For liquid spills, blot, do not rub, with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth.
  • If you choose to clean the rug yourself we recommend Host®, which is a highly rated dry extraction carpet cleaning system which works very well with natural fiber rugs
  • It is normal for jute and other natural fiber rugs to “sprout”. What may seem to be a pulled thread is really just a yarn whose fibers have separated at a point, or “sprouted”. Sprouting is common with natural fibers, such as jute, that are made up of shorter fibers. This is not a defect but an inherent quality of certain natural fiber rugs. Simply clip the sprout that has popped up with a sharp scissors.
  • All fibers that are exposed to direct, prolonged sunlight will experience some degree of fading. Please rotate your rug regularly if it is in a sunny location.
