  • Vacuum with suction only (not with a beater bar)
  • Wipe up spills immediately and lift rug to air dry backing if moisture gets underneath
  • Plastic or felt casters recommended for chair or furniture legs to protect against scratching and cracking
  • Continuous exposure to sunlight may cause fading; rotate regularly if in prolonged direct sun

Is bamboo comfortable underfoot?

Bamboo has a firm, smooth surface that’s closer to hardwood flooring than a soft textile rug. Bamboo is comfortable for walking or standing but isn’t meant to be plush. Many customers layer bamboo over carpet or use it in spaces where they want the look of a natural material with easy maintenance.

Can I use a bamboo rug in a kitchen or high-moisture area?

Yes, bamboo is more moisture-resistant than many other natural fibers, but should not be exposed to standing water or direct rain. Bamboo works well in kitchens, dining rooms, sunrooms, entryways, and covered outdoor spaces, when moisture or spills are promptly wiped off.

Will bamboo scratch my floors?

Our bamboo rugs come with a vented, eco-soy backing that adds cushioning, keeps the
rug in place, and protects your floor, so an additional pad is not required. Similarly, bamboo chairs mats feature a recycled felt backing with non-slip natural latex to keep them in place, and kitchen and bath mats feature a latex backing, as well.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Your order ships directly from the supplier(s), typically within 1-2 business days of purchase. Shipments are via UPS Ground, except for oversize rugs. You will receive tracking information on your order as soon as it becomes available.

What if I want to make a return?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on rugs in original condition and packaging. Contact customerservice@naturalrugco.com for a Return Authorization (RA) number, and we will provide simple instructions. A refund will be made as soon as the supplier receives the product back in its original condition.
